What is an Aussiedoodle & why are they bred?

The Aussiedoodle is the cross between 2, already amazing, highly sought after & highly intelligent Breeds, the Standard Poodle & Australian Shepherd.

The Aussiedoodle's originated in the Australia somewhere around the 1930's and eventually made their way to the US around the 1960's.  There is little known history as to exactly why they were bred. But today they are generally bred for achieving highly intelligent, well tempered & happy dogs, that greatly excel in trainability & socialization, while producing an allergy friendly coat & having the well known, friendly & fun personality. The Aussiedoodles are often used for service & therapy dogs, but also make wonderful family pets & single person companions.  

These amazing dogs are well known for their amazing level of intelligence, being socially friendly, able to adapt to most environments or settings with happiness & ease and being very easily trained.

Although Aussiedoodles are amazingly awesome dogs, they are typically not an ideal success for first time dog owners that are new to or unfamiliar with training. They tend to try to outsmart their owner & test boundaries & rules. However, they make wonderful family dogs and do excellent with children and other animals.

What makes them a good dog to have?

Aussiedoodle's are highly intelligent, very loyal, and most are easily trained. They make very loyal & wonderful family dogs & companions. They are often used as Service, Emotional Support & Therapy Dogs due their level of intelligence, exceptional social friendliness & happy and active disposition.  They are a medium to large sized dog, maxing out at around 75Lbs, with average size being 40-50lbs for females & 50-60lbs for males. They a moderate energy level making them suitable for apartment/condo or wide open space, living arrangements, as long as they have sufficient daily exercise & mental stimulation. They do not normally have issues that need a professional trainer to step in, however a professional trainer is important with any breed for specialized specific training such as that for service dogs. In a nutshell, the Aussiedoodle is an amazing hybrid breed that suites the majority of semi active & active lifestyles exceptionally well! They go with the flow of pretty much everything imaginable & tolerate it with happiness & ease, making them ideal for a variety of lifestyles and living arrangements. They are also classified as hypoallergenic & non shedding! Making them allergy friendly to most.

What is a Sheepadoodle & why are they bred?

The Sheepadoodle is the cross between 2, already amazing & highly sought after Breeds, the Standard Poodle & Old English Sheepdog.

The Sheepadoodle's originated in the US, as the US Army developed this breed in the 1960's for military police dogs. Today they are generally bred for achieving intelligent, well tempered & happy dogs, that greatly excel in trainability & friendliness, while producing an allergy friendly coat & having the well known, happy go lucky & goofy personality. The Sheepadoodles are often used for service & therapy dogs, but also make wonderful family pets & single person companions.  

These amazing dogs are well known for being socially friendly, able to adapt to most environments or settings with happiness & ease and being very easily trained.

What is a Pointer Doodle & why are they bred?

A Pointer Doodle is a hybrid cross that includes 2 amazingly intelligent breeds, the German Wirehaired Pointer & Standard Poodle.

​

The Pointer Doodles are bred for both their coats & temperament. The Standard Poodle is well known for its curly, non-shedding, hypoallergenic, high maintenance coat. The German Wirehaired Pointer is less known due to often being used as a hunting dog, however it is well known for its wiry, non-shedding, water resistant, hypoallergenic, low maintenance coat. The hybrid cross between the two breeds make an amazing, minimal maintenance, non-shedding, beautiful, hypoallergenic coat that is especially friendly to those with severe allergies!

​

Both breeds are well known for their high intelligence, working & hunting capabilities, excellent temperament & demeanor & exceptionally laid back disposition, while still possessing excellent guard & watch dog skills to protect what they consider as theirs. All while being a social butterfly & highly excelling in social settings.

What makes them a good dog to have?

Besides being one of only two of the most allergy friendly dog breeds available & having an amazing coat that still looks amazing with minimal maintenance, they are very versatile when it comes to adapting to different environments & jobs, being able to excel in a very wide variation of both.
